CCA programs offer myriad art material exploration, artistic development, combining a passion for art-making with artists, museums, Modern, Multicultural and Contemporary art and current exhibits for all types of learners, skill-levels and ages. Beginners are welcome! Experienced & returnees will be challenged; All media offered. We co-create currica our first classes together… Tell us what they ❤️!

1.5 Hour | Meets once a week | Ages 6-10 / 9-14.

  • Class size is limited to 2-6 students.
  • Semi-private classes.
  • Projects are custom-tailored to your child’s interests.
  • 2:1 student-artist ratio for individualized instruction.
  • CCA teachers are practicing artists in thier fields; Specialty visiting artists elevate our curriculum and enhance your child’s exposure to diverse media.
  • Children take a field trip to the Met. or Guggenheim Museum, a gallery or Central Park each semester.

CCA has 2-3 semesters, depending on location. Fall Semester begins September 8-11. (Choose a semester length in the dropdown below.)

We know there are a lot of activities for your advancing child and are excited to make Art Adventures, a sophisticated and welcoming art enrichment league, on the top of your list!  Our students engage art, exploration and inspiration, designed for all levels to excel in their technical skill, creative thinking, problem-solving and artistic vocabulary in order to instill confidence and to expand their passions in a loving and supportive environment. Even the “non-artists” excel in our programs!

New to Art Adventures Studio?  Now in our 25th year, this unique (almost private) class offers myriad art project choices with professional artist materials challenging artistic development. Studio classes are semi-private classes with a 2:1 student-teacher ratio, and combine a passion for art-making with professional artists, museums, Modern, Multicultural and Contemporary art and current exhibits.

Older children are introduced to more advanced techniques, materials and art vocabulary related to elevated media such as a variety of specialty pencils, drawing & carving tools, kiln-fired clay, metals, plaster, printing inks and more.  Stop-motion Animation, Animé, portraits and famous artist-inspired processes are intertwined with media exploration and fun!

Myriad museums and galleries of NYC provide us with ample ideas from which to create, keeping our curriculum current with the art world of today.

Event Details

A longer class where older students are introduced to modern and contemporary artists using professional art tools and advanced techniques related to elevated media including: Drawing using specialty pencils, pastels, charcoal, blending tools, painting, clay, wood, plaster, wire, fabric, photography, stop-motion animation and more.  Claire and visiting professional visiting artists share unique perspectives and talents. Ample museums and galleries of NYC provide us with ideas from which to create, keeping our curriculum current with the art world of today, and tailored to include each student’s interests!
