We invite older students to join us for engaging art, exploration and inspiration, designed for all levels to excel in their technical skill, creative thinking, problem-solving and artistic vocabulary in order to instill confidence and to expand their work in a loving and supportive environment. Even the “non-artists” excel in our programs!
New to Art Adventures Studio? Now in our 25th year, this unique class offers myriad art project choices with professional artist materials challenging artistic development. Studio is a small class with a 2:1 student-teacher ratio, and combines a passion for art-making with professional artists, museums, Modern, Multicultural and Contemporary art and current exhibits.
Older children are introduced to more advanced techniques, materials and art vocabulary related to elevated media such as a variety of specialty pencils, drawing & carving tools, kiln-fired clay, metals, plaster, printing inks and more. Stop-motion Animation, Animé, portraits and famous artist-inspired processes are intertwined with media exploration.
Myriad museums and galleries of NYC provide us with ample ideas from which to create, keeping our curriculum current with the art world of today.
