William Wegman

A pioneering video artist, conceptualist, photographer, painter and writer

William Wegman was born in 1943 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He received a B.F.A. in painting from the Massachusetts College of Art, Boston in 1965 and an M.F.A. in painting from the University of Illinois, Champagne-Urbana in 1967. From 1968 to 1970 he taught at the University of Wisconsin.

Joe Mangrum

Visual Artist / Sand Painter

Joe Mangrum’s sand paintings and multiple medium installations explore issues of the urban grid, environmentalism and its effects on the collective psyche. He has created a series of over a thousand intricate sand paintings in public and private spaces as well as a body of permanent sand paintings on canvas and carved wood.

Charles Hinman

Painter

Charles Hinman visited CCA and in conversational style, revealed his 2D and shaped 3D canvases from the 60’s to present. We learned that his pieces have been collected by the Met and the Whitney Museums, in addition to across the U.S., Europe and Japan. His biggest influence is in Minimalist art after a time of Abstract Expressionism, DeKooning and Pollock, and was partnered with Frank Stella’s paintings, constructions and sculpture in the exhibition, & Shape and Structure”

Zoe Morsette

BROADWAY PROPS STYLIST.

Zoe’s sculptures have been featured in ads that won two Gold awards and one International Best of Show in the Dimensional Illustrators Awards Show. One of these is her best known commercial sculpture, the iconic “homeless Statue of Liberty”, featured since 1991 on the NY Cares Coat Drive poster.
