1 Hour | Meets once a week | Ages 4-5 | 6-8 (9 & Up: See 1.5 Hour Art Adventures Studio)
- Class size is limited to 9 students.
- 2:1-3:1 student-teaching artist ratio for individualized attention.
- CCA teachers are practicing artists in thier fields. Specialty visiting artists elevate our curriculum and enhance your child’s exposure to diverse media.
- Children take a field trip to the Met. or Guggenheim Museum, a gallery or Central Park each semester.

We know there are a lot of activities for your children and are excited to make Art Adventures, a sophisticated and welcoming arts enrichment league, on the top of your list! All CCA classes focus on social and artistic development and experimentation with all media, in a team-building, inclusive environment. Custom-tailored & age-appropriated curriculum means we include your child’s interests… Tell us what they ❤️!
New to Art Adventures? Now in our 25th year 🎉, CCA programs offer myriad art material exploration, artistic development, have between 2:1-3:1 student-teacher ratio, combining a passion for art-making with famous artists, museums, Modern, Multicultural and Contemporary art and current exhibits. CCA has an annual curriculum for skill development, with semester enrollment offered.
We use of a wide variety of media and techniques including experimentation with different types of paint, clay, wood, plaster, wire, papier-mâché, magnets, fabric, 3D dioramas, as well as a variety of drawing tools, pencils, charcoal, pastels, specialty markers, recyclables, stop-motion animation, animé, portraits and more! Unique art materials and FUN are our forté.
Older students are introduced to more advanced techniques and art vocabulary related to elevated media such as a variety of specialty pencils, blending tools, inks, drawing & sculpting tools.
Myriad museums and galleries of NYC provide us with ample ideas from which to create, keeping our curriculum current with the art world of today.

ART & FRENCH
All Art Adventures include simple French vocabulary and common phrases. Children gain exposure to the French language, accent and utilize basic French pertaining to art, while not even aware they are doing so! Greetings, colors, numbers, shapes, tools and colloquial phrases are included. We share Spanish and other languages as well!
