We explored color mixing with Elmer the Elephant in this week’s Art Adventure!
We shared the story of Elmer and his wonderful rainbow checkered pattern! It was all about color mixing with our primary colors this week as we collaged and overlapped pinks, blues and yellows to create new colors on our Elmer! Art Adventurer’s “drove the car” in drawing contour lines around Elmer with a marker, then continued to collage with both “see-through” (transparent) & non see through shapes
The day FINALLY arrived: slime day. For part 2 of our Joseph Cornell inspired Assemblage Art Apothecary Shadow Boxes- we created our slime jars to fill our shelves

Happy Spring! In celebration of Spring & Earth Day and taking inspiration from the beautiful stained glass of Tiffany’s Studio, our Art Adventurers painted with glass paints last week! We chose our favorite spring flower, practiced our skills with outlining and were introduced to painting with this very special type of paint on transparencies.
Just look at the great color combinations with differing opaque and transparent color choices!
