2020 Class Inspiration

We know there are a lot of activities for your children and are excited to make Art Adventures, an early enrichment league, on the top of their list.

What do we have in store? Learning from the masters, Multi-cultural art and Contemporary Artists. Children will learn how to paint, draw, sculpt, mosaic, work with plastics, wood, metal and wire.

As well as ART IN THE PARK this spring and a little French along the way!

Each class will take a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art per semester for a Museum Adventure.

New to Art Adventures? CCA (Claire’s Creative Adventures) programs have a 3:1 or even 2:1 student-teacher ratio, myriad material exploration, optional French, as well as lunch & art + after-school programs since 2001 @ All Souls Church.

Join us! Register Today. Proration available.

November means Museum Art Adventures!

For our first museum tour this new school year, we traveled to the Guggenheim Museum of Art!

Our Art Adventurers viewed the Guggenheim’s Artistic License & Basquiat exhibitions exploring lines, shapes and symbols, oh my!

It was all about abstract modern and contemporary art reviewing

our forms & sculptures with Giacometti;

geometric shapes, lines and patterns with Louise Nevelson; negative space, balance & color with Louise Bourgeois;

and finally, use of symbols, words and emotions with Basquiat.

Costume, Art and Social Justice…Sunday Reads

With costumes on our minds and art in our souls, we spend time thinking about the benefits these elements have outside of just aesthetics and fun.

For our Sunday reads, we look into the work of Nick Cave for inspiration on artistic costumes with a message of social justice and love for all.

Check out this New York Times article for more about

Nick Cave’s Soundsuits and his other art projects

We boast confident, happy & excited children leaving our studio after each class.

What can your child develop?

Parents are often skeptical to over-schedule their children in the fall.  School teachers warn parents to keep extra classes to a minimum during transitions.

We find, however, that CCA’s art classes are an exception. Why?

Because they are child-directed. They focus on exploration, as well as whatever is going on that day with each student, and acts as a supportive therapy in their schedule versus an extra “activity.”

Our studio is a place where children can rest from their busy schedules, receive individualized attention and to express themselves with or without words.
