About

Do you know that learning about art is secondary to the skills your child will learn at Art Adventures?

 The REAL learning comes from:

•        Mastering personal choices

•        Overcoming obstacles in planning and execution

•        Utilizing new methods to achieve a new goal

•        Organizing one’s self to systematize steps from start to finish

•        Applying creativity with new material use

•        Problem-solving without giving up when dissatisfied

•        Learning “What works, what doesn’t and what’s next?”

•        Creating a gentle learning environment

•        Approaching museums with excitement and know-how!

All with the support of professional artists…

Our Art Adventures students used diverse materials and found objects to build combines inspired by Robert Rauschenberg.  Rauschenberg used found objects (and sometimes taxidermied animals) in his combines which can be found at the Met and MoMA.

What would you use to build your combine?
