LESSON OF THE WEEK: Mother’s Day Crepe Paper Flower
3-5′s
This week the students will learn about the most important holiday of the year – Mother’s Day :0). We will honor the wonderful women in our lives by making a Mother’s Day Crepe Paper Flower. This project will be fun and creative, yet it will also require some fine motor skills as the students continue to hone their tracing, cutting, twisting, stretching skills- among others. Happy Mother’s Day!

Great comprehensive show through April 30th! Go see it!
After a fabulous tour with Riva Blumenfeld last Wednesday, I highly suggest a visit before this show ends next Saturday…
Based on this Russian painter’s early use of simplified shape and pure colors, see how artists such as Stella, Twombly, Newman, Kelly, Judd, LeWitt, Serra, Calder and more followed suit in their own distinctive styles.
